Andrew's journey began with a solid educational foundation, completing his secondary schooling at Chinese High School and Hwa Chong Junior College. He pursued his passion for business by obtaining a degree in Business Administration from Oklahoma State University. His career commenced with a Singapore-based multinational corporation in 1981 before joining his family's textile manufacturing enterprise, Oceanic Textiles.
A connoisseur of fine dining with a fervent interest in the restaurant business, Andrew honed his management skills while working at Charming Garden, his family's inaugural restaurant that opened its doors in 1980. TungLok Group emerged from Andrew's entrepreneurial spirit in 1984, with the inauguration of the flagship Tung Lok Restaurant at Liang Court. Today, the Group stands as a revered name, celebrated as one of Singapore's largest and premier Chinese restaurant chains. Under Andrew's stewardship, the Group has achieved remarkable growth over three decades, owning, managing, and franchising over 40 restaurants across Singapore, Indonesia, China, Japan, and Vietnam.
With a sharp business acumen and an unwavering commitment to revolutionizing the F&B landscape, Andrew has positioned Singapore as a global gourmet destination. The Group has been listed on the Singapore Stock Exchange since March 2001, cementing its enduring impact on the industry.
